Dias Ex Machina Games

1. Does Primary Target (Foundations page 82) mean 'any attack power' or 'any power with the weapon keyword'? Is it intended to prevent the use of things like "Outthink and Outwit" to get the bonus?

2. The power Life and Limb (Foundations page 84) does not have an Attack line; is it intended to be Attack: Dexterity vs AC?

3. Do firearms count as "typical weapon groups", and are they applicable for feats like Weapon Focus, Weapon Proficiency, Weapon Expertise, Weapon Focus, etc?

4. Do you recommend allowing feats/powers from books beyond the PHB1 if the players meet the prerequisites? Things like Weapon Expertise from the PHB2 (which is kind of a must-take if it's allowed), skill powers from the PHB3, Hidden Sniper from Essentials etc...


PS: love the game (absolute blast to play).

Hahaha, I'm pleased to see Snapcase has posted here. We're both in the same game, and old-school 4e players, so we had a blast playing Amethyst. I'm sorry I didn't notice the game before now. I only have one more question to add:

There are many great items in the Techan Gear section which have descriptions but I can't find an entry for on the Techan Gear table. As such, we don't know how much they should cost, what they weigh, their Tech Level, etc. Can you give us prices, weights, TL, and Cell entries (where appropriate) for the following?
Bayonet Plug
Laser Sight
Scope, Digital
Scope, Targeting
Suppressor

No, it's ANY attack power.

Yes they are, though we added Firearm Expertise in case people thought they couldn't, because that feat and Weapon Focus are exactly the same and do not stack.

I have no issue with those, though personally, I think the feats in PHB3 are broken.

Thanks very much for the clarification. I think the two first questions got combined - the question about Life and Limb, the power appears to be missing its "attack" line.

Life and Limb - Operator Attack 1
Encounter - Martial, Weapon
Standard Action - Ranged weapon
Target: One creature
(missing attack line here)
Hit: 1[W] + Dexterity modifier damage and you can shift as many squares as 1+ your Intelligence modifier. You can ignore the occupied square of the enemy you hit.

I'm guessing that it's supposed to be Dex vs. AC (or possibly Dex vs. Ref?)...
